Founded in 2016 under the Indian Trust Act, 1882, the AED Foundation is a charitable trust based in Guwahati, Assam, committed to uplifting communities and empowering individuals. We work with a singular belief – true progress is achieved when every person has access to education, skills, health, and opportunities for a better life.
Over the years, we have become a trusted partner for social change, directly engaging with communities, government agencies, and like-minded organizations to bring impactful and sustainable solutions where they are needed most.

We believe education is the first step toward breaking the cycle of poverty. Through learning centers, mentorship programs, and scholarships, we ensure that children — especially from marginalized and rural backgrounds — receive quality education, guidance, and the confidence to dream bigger.
We empower youth and women with vocational training and practical skill-building opportunities. From entrepreneurship workshops to career guidance and self-employment support, our programs prepare individuals to secure sustainable livelihoods and contribute to the local economy.
A healthy community is a strong community. Our health and WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) initiatives promote better hygiene, sanitation, and access to healthcare. We conduct awareness campaigns, organize medical camps, and encourage preventive healthcare practices to improve overall wellbeing.
Assam faces recurring floods that devastate families every year. We provide rapid emergency aid — food, clean water, and medical kits — followed by rehabilitation and resilience-building activities. Our goal is not just to provide relief but to help communities rebuild stronger and be better prepared for the future.
We nurture the entrepreneurial spirit among women and youth by offering training, mentorship, and micro-business support. By turning ideas into viable enterprises, we help individuals achieve financial independence and inspire others to follow the same path.
